Escape to the Caribbean diving mecca of Bonaire this Thanksgiving!
Instructor Ashton Kinsey of Underwater Safaris in Chicago hosts this LGBT group to Bonaire over Thanksgiving. You'll sleep right beside the Caribbean sea in deluxe oceanfront accommodations at Divi Flamingo Resort, and dive three boat dives with the group each day, then on the house reef as much as you like. If you aren't scuba certified yet, this is the perfect place to learn.
Bonaire offers warm water (about 80F in November), easy diving and a great house reef right in front of the hotel. Three boat dives a day are included, as well as unlimited shore diving. Near downtown restaurants, the resort features a casino, two swimming pools and a small strip of beach. You can also take an excursion to view flamingoes, or try windsurfing at much larger Sorobon Beach on the windward side.
The friendly Netherlands Antilles are very welcoming of lesbian and gay travelers and our scuba vacations here always draw a fun group of divers!

Getting there:
It's easy to fly to Bonaire (BON) from anywhere in North America or Europe.
Delta Airlines flies to Bonaire on Saturdays from JFK and Atlanta.
United Airlines flies non-stop from Houston (IAH) and Newark (EWR). If you fly home via Houston, the return is on Sunday, December 1, so check that date as a return as well. You would just need an extra night at the resort. We are happy to book that for you so you can remain in the same room for your entire stay.
American Airlines again flies to Bonaire each Saturday via Miami (MIA).
From Europe, KLM offers almost daily service from Amsterdam. If you arrive on the daytime flight and need an extra night, we're happy to book that for you.
European divers can also take advantage of connecting service on Delta and United Airlines.
Connecting service from the neighboring island of Curacao (CUR) is available on Divi Divi Air, and from Aruba (AUA) on the new Aruba Airlines. Just be sure to budget time and money for baggage transfer and overage charges.
Please contact us if you would like assistance finding flights.
