Dive with sea lions in the exciting Sea of Cortez from La Paz this Thanksgiving with a friendly group of LGBTQ+ divers!
You’ll dive the legendary Sea of Cortez, known for its schools
of fish, rays and sea lions. Explore ‘El
Bajo’ seamount in search of the elusive hammerhead sharks known to lurk in the depths, and ‘Los
Islotes’, home to a colony of sea lions. Cortez diving is unique: rocky reefs and pinnacles with some coral and a variety of colorful fish endemic to this area of the Eastern Pacific.
November offers good diving conditions here, with water that's still warm and usually calm and clear. Rent a car on our last day with your new friends from the group and explore the quaint artists' town of Todos Santos, just an hour away on the Pacific side of the peninsula.
If the whale sharks have arrived for the winter, you'll be offered an optional snorkeling expedition with them at an additional cost of $130 plus 16% tax. Fingers crossed!

flight from the USA, near the tip of Baja California and two hours north
