Palau
Underwater Wonder of the World

Rainbow Divers Palau Karen D

March 27 - April 3, 2022

Rock Islands Aggressor

$3500 Deluxe Cabin
per person, double occupancy

Join Northern California Rainbow Divers on this LGBTQ+ scuba expedition to mind-blowing Palau, home of drift diving with reef hooks and the extraordinary hold-on-to-your mask Blue Corner. An exotic former U.S. Trust Territory rich in Micronesian culture and WWII history, Palau offers electric diving with magnificent walls and drop offs, huge sea fans, and lots of underwater action.

You'll dive all of our favorite sites from past trips: Blue Corner, Ulong Channel, Big Dropoff, Siaes Corner and lots more. We're delighted that Palau has reopened to visitors and that our liveaboard charter is the perfect way to comply with all COVID-19 precautions. All guests on board will be vaccinated and tested, and after follow-up testing near the end of the trip, you can walk through town on Saturday after diving to buy storyboards, visit the Belau National Museum Ethnic Center, and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

This trip is suitable for intermediate and experienced divers who are comfortable diving in current and from a live boat. Call us to speak with an instructor about the skills you'll need to dive here safely.

See why Palau is considered one of the world's top diving destinations and why we keep going back!

Package includes:

  • Seven nights on board the Rock Islands Aggressor in deluxe cabins, double occupancy
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, except final night at restaurant in town
  • All beverages (non-alcoholic and local alcoholic)
  • Five and a half days of diving: four dives each day, with three additional night dives
  • Diving from a tender from the mother ship for ease, comfort and safety
  • Tanks, weights and weightbelts
  • Excursion to the famed "Jellyfish Lake" - bring sturdy footwear!
  • Airport transfers on day of embarkation and disembarkation
Not included in Package:
Airfare, rental gear, tips, items of a personal nature, final night dinner in Koror, port fee of $240 payable on board. Government fees subject to change.

Who should go:
Strong intermediate divers (at least 25 logged dives) and advanced divers are welcome on this expedition. Beginning divers will find strong currents, drift diving, and blue-water safety stops overly challenging.

Getting there:
Air connections to Koror, Palau (ROR) are provided through United Airlines.

Due to the International Date Line, North Americans will need to begin travel by March 23, 2022. Under the current travel rules, you must arrive on UA 157 at 12:30 am on March 25 (no late arrivals). All guests will be on board that same arriving flight, and enjoy a couple of nights at Palau Royal Resort and diving with Sam's Tours before boarding the liveaboard on Sunday afternoon.

You'll disembark at 8 am on Sunday, April 3, so relax at a hotel, or kayak among the stunning Rock Islands for a day prior to early morning departure on April 5, 2022. Extra nights at local hotels are available after the liveaboard to extend your trip if you wish.

Ask us for free flight assistance to find the best fares and connections online.
