Often referred to as the "Mexican Galapagos", the Revillagigedos Islands of Socorro, San Benedicto and Roca Partida offer the big animal encounters that are possible in the eastern Pacific.

We'll board Nautilus Belle Amie in easy-to-reach Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, for a one day crossing to these islands to dive and interact with the friendliest giant mantas in the world.

Socorro Island is big animal diving at its best - dolphins, tuna, whale sharks (Nov-Dec), hammerheads, up to five other species of sharks and, of course, giant manta rays. They are known as the 'Friendly Giants' because not only do they measure up to 21 feet across, but they are famous and unique in the world for up-close and intimate interaction with divers. Shark sightings are also very good at Socorro Island with common sightings of silky, galapagos, hammerhead, white tip and silver tip sharks. Whale sharks are also a possibility in November, the beginning of the Socorro season.

The great thing about Socorro is that no two dives are exactly alike. Whether its a game of acrobatics with a dolphin, hovering in awe as a school of hammerheads fills your field of view, or simply being mesmerized by three or four giant mantas circling you, you're sure to experience that unforgettable dive that dreams are made of!

Some dive sites in the Socorro Islands can be challenging due to currents and blue water ascents. Call us if you would like to discuss the scuba skills you'll need to experience this diving adventure of a lifetime!

Our Package Includes:

  • Six days of diving, 3-4 dives daily, tanks, weights and weight belts
  • 8 nights aboard the Nautilus Belle Amie in air-conditioned double occupancy cabins with private bath
  • All meals and between meal snacks
  • All non-alcoholic beverages

Not Included: Airfare, transfers, Mexican Park Fee of $375 (credited back to your onboard account), alcoholic beverages, dive gear rental if required, port fee ($65), Nitrox, satellite internet, tips, and items of a personal nature.

You must arrive in Cabo San Lucas (SJD) no later than Saturday, November 19. Spend the night at the Tesoro Los Cabos Resort, and participate in the check-out dive the next day before your pre-boarding antigen test at 4 pm.

We board the ship after the testing on November 20, arriving at our first island destination the next morning. Since you may find the seas unsettling, motion sickness medication is recommended.

American, Delta, United, US Airways and Frontier Airlines serve San Jose del Cabo (SJD). Contact Undersea Expeditions for flight suggestions to Los Cabos.

You'll disembark the ship at 9 a.m. on November 28. Please plan your flight home for some time after noon on Monday, November 28.

$1000 deposit to hold space. Second payment of $1000 due at nine months. Third payment of payment of $1000 due at 180 days. Balance due 120 days prior to departure.

Experience the excitement of big animal encounters in the wild!
