Discover Sint Eustatius, better known as “Statia,” on a luxury LGBTQ+ scuba vacation in March. This green island nestled between St. Kitts and Saba, close to St. Maarten, changed hands 22 times before eventually coming under Dutch rule, where it remains today as part of the Caribbean Netherlands. The island earned the nickname “Golden Rock” from its prominence as a trading port in the 17th century. In 1776, Statia became the first foreign port to recognize the new United States of America.
Featured this year in Travel + Leisure magazine as a rare "hidden gem," you'll stay in the brand-new Golden Rock Dive and Nature Resort, and your host for the week, Robert Walden, will escort you to the best of everything this beautiful island has to offer. Breakfast daily along with three dinners at the resort's upscale open-air Breeze restaurant are included in your package.
Enjoy five days of two-tank morning dives with Scubaqua Dive Center plus two additional afternoon dives, as well as an island tour and plenty of free time to enjoy the resort amenities.
