Experience the abundance
and diversity of life in Earth’s most remarkable
ecosystem. Penguins swim with tropical fish and iguanas
feed underwater. On land, giant
tortoises plod and sea birds nest with no natural fear
of human beings. In the central islands, we will combine
great diving with fascinating land excursions led by our onboard
naturalist, then venture across the Equator to dive
the Northern Galapagos’ remote Wolf and Darwin
Islands. Large numbers of scalloped hammerhead
sharks typically school here.
This is the beginning of whale shark season in the Galapagos and our chances of spotting one or several are excellent but cannot be guaranteed. Huge pods of dolphins
are common, and eagle and manta rays are often
encountered.
Travel in style on our mixed LGBTQ+ charter of Humboldt Explorer for the scuba expedition of a lifetime. E-mail us to reserve your place today!
Attention: This is ADVANCED and strenuous diving! You should carry a minimum of Advanced Open Water certification and be comfortable entering and exiting rough seas from a zodiac in strong currents, with blue water safety stops and no visual reference. It is essential that you and your buddy follow the divemaster closely and observe PADI safe diving practices.
