Gay Scuba Sea of Cortez Dive Buddies

October 8-15, 2022

$1995 per diver,
double occupancy

Explore Baja California and the exciting Sea of Cortez from La Paz this fall with a friendly group of bears, cubs, daddies, otters, and other gay male divers! All guests on our expeditions must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, regardless of Mexico's current entry requirements.

You’ll dive the legendary Sea of Cortez, known for its schools of fish, rays and sea lions. Explore ‘El Bajo’ seamount in search of the elusive hammerhead sharks known to lurk in the depths, and ‘Los Islotes’, home to a colony of sea lions. Cortez diving is unique: rocky reefs and pinnacles with some coral and a variety of colorful fish endemic to this area of the Eastern Pacific.

October offers the best diving conditions here, with water that's bathtub warm and usually calm and clear outside of the rare hurricane. Rent a car on our last day or chip in for one with your new friends from the group and explore the quaint artists' town of Todos Santos, an hour away on the Pacific side of the peninsula.

If the whale sharks have arrived for the winter, you'll be offered an optional snorkeling expedition with them at an additional cost of $110 plus 16% tax. Fingers crossed!

Just a short non-stop flight from the USA, near the tip of Baja California and two hours north of Cabo San Lucas, La Paz is off the beaten tourist path and near the best diving the Sea of Cortez has to offer.

Package Includes:

  • 7 nights at La Concha Beach Club (double occupancy) including 16% tax
  • 5 days of diving with Cortez Club (THREE boat dives each day) including 16% tax
  • Tanks, weights and weight belt
  • Breakfast daily
  • Welcome taco dinner
  • Lunch on dive days
  • Transfers to/from Cabo San Lucas or La Paz airport
  • Welcome Margarita Mixer
  • Farewell dinner

Not included:
Airfare to La Paz, rental equipment if needed, Marine Park Fees ($25 cash), meals other than specified, beverages other than welcome party, gratuities, and items of a personal nature.

Getting there:
We will arrange two group transfers from Cabo San Lucas (SJD) - around 1 pm and 4:30 pm, depending on incoming flight schedules.

Low-cost Mexican airline Volaris serves La Paz (LAP) from both Tijuana (TIJ) and Mexico City. This is a great option for our divers coming from San Diego!

You can also fly directly to La Paz on Delta/Aeromexico via Mexico City.

Deposit:
Deposit of $300 is due upon booking. Balance due 90 days prior to departure.

How to reserve your space:

  1. Call or E-mail us to check availability.
  2. We'll place a space on courtesy hold for you and send you a confirmation e-mail.
  3. Complete and return the trip application and waiver from the letter with your deposit by check or credit card.
  4. Make your airline reservations. We're happy to help you find the best flights.

Come experience a different side of Mexico!
