Limited Premium Cabins available.

The Tuamotu Islands, north of Tahiti in French Polynesia, consist of coral atolls fringed by small islands ("motu"), surrounding large turquoise lagoons protected by outer coral reefs.

Diving here is nothing short of thrilling. French Polynesia is the home of “shooting the pass”, where our boat drops us with a guide on the outer reef and we ride the incoming tide through the channel into the inner lagoon. Along this thrill ride, we may hook in with reef hooks and watch sharks and rays glide past. Of course, regular reef dives featuring colorful fish and hard corals are on offer in between pass dives.

We board our ship on Fakarava, where we begin our diving, and cruise on to Rangiroa and the famous Tiputa Pass. The diving is suitable for intermediate to advanced divers who are comfortable diving from tenders, in current, and with sharks. Open Water divers are limited to 18 meters (60 feet), so plan ahead now and upgrade your certification! Advanced Open Water and Rescue divers may dive as deep as 30 meters. Master Scuba Divers (CMAS 3* equivalent) may dive to 40 meters. All divers will stay with a guide in small groups of five divers to one dive leader.

French Polynesia is not an inexpensive destination, but traveling by liveaboard offers us maximum value and fixed up-front costs. A gay South Pacific cruise, accommodation, meals, and up to twenty dives – all included for one set price.

Come visit the most romantic islands on Earth with us. If the incredible beauty doesn’t make your heart race, the pass dives will!

Our Package Includes:

  • 7 nights aboard the French Polynesia Master in air-conditioned double occupancy cabins with private bath
  • Limited guest load of just 20 divers, rather than 25
  • All meals and between meal snacks
  • Non-alcoholic beverages
  • 4 dives a day, conditions permitting
  • Airport transfers
  • Tanks, weights and weight belt

Not Included: International airfare to Papeete, Tahiti, inter-island airfare to Fakarava, dive gear rental, alcoholic beverages, National Park Fee (US$ 90), fuel surcharge ($175), Nitrox, tips, and items of a personal nature.

Flights:
Remember that flights can be booked 330 days prior to departure, in December 2018/January 2019.

Take advantage of the new United Airlines non-stop Dreamliner service from San Francisco (SFO) to Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) on Thursday, November 21. Arrive in the evening and connect on Air Tahiti the next morning to Fakarava (FAV) for a two-night stay, or explore Tahiti itself or the neighboring island of Moorea for two and a half days and fly to Fakarava on Sunday. We will board the liveaboard on Fakarava on Sunday, November 24.

A new, budget option from SFO is French Bee, departing SFO on Friday, November 22 and returning on Monday, December 2.

Air Tahiti Nui, an American Airlines/OneWorld partner, and Air France, a Delta SkyMiles airline, both fly non-stop from Los Angeles (LAX) to Papeete, Tahiti (PPT).

From Europe, both Air Tahiti Nui and Air France offer flights originating in Paris with a stop in Los Angeles en route to Papeete.

Other routes originate from Auckland, Tokyo, and Honolulu. E-mail us for free assistance with flights.

From the international airport at Papeete on the island of Tahiti, it is a scenic flight to Fakarava with a connection in Rangiroa. If your flight to Papeete arrives in the evening, you'll need to arrive a day early to connect on the afternoon of November 24, or join us on Fakarava for two or more days prior to the liveaboard.

We will disembark in Papeete around 11 am on December 1. The United non-stop to SFO departs that evening, as does Air Tahiti Nui to LAX. Air France leaves Tuesday morning.

Deposit:
$1000 deposit to hold space. Second deposit of $1000 due at nine months. Third deposit of $1000 due at 180 days. Balance due 120 days prior to departure. Monthly payments can also be arranged.

How to reserve your space:

  1. Call or E-mail us to check availability.
  2. We'll place a space on courtesy hold for you and send you a confirmation e-mail.
  3. Complete and return the trip application and waiver from the letter with your deposit by check or credit card.
  4. Make your airline reservations. We're happy to help you find the best flights.
